In 1494, when CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS saw Jamaica, he said, "It is truly the fairest isle eyes ere beheld". Jamaica is the largest English-speaking island in the Caribbean, dominated by the mile high majestic Blue Mountains famous for its coffee, and endless stretches of silver beaches and sapphire seas.
A potpourri of English, Spanish, Portuguese, Africans, East Indians and Chinese come together to make up a cultural kaleidoscope, and is reflected in our motto, "OUT OF MANY ONE PEOPLE."
Rafting, Rasta, Reggae, Redstripe beer, jerk chicken, Ting, cool mountains and hot palm strewn beaches, damp jungles, refreshing waterfalls and rivers are all indigenous to our island. Jamaica is a continuous dance of the senses.
